Virginia Louise Moore was the second of three daughters born on October 25, 1954 to the late John E. Moore Sr. and Marjorie A. Moore of Bronx, New York. She departed this life on February 15, 2018 after a long illness. She was surrounded be her loving family just as she had wished.
When Virginia became a teenager her family moved to 39 Penndale Drive, Amityville, New York where she attended Copiague High School and graduated in 1972. Upon graduation she held various positions before she landed a management positions before she landed a management position at Card Works, Woodbury, New York where she was employed for the last fifteen years.
Virginia received Christ in her life in 1988 and in 2001 enrolled in Sword of the Spirit International Theological Bible Institute where she obtained her doctorate degree in theology. She served in the Healing Hurting Women’s Ministry in 2014 where she received her Chaplain diploma. She also served as ministerial staff at New Hope Institutional Baptist Church.
Virginia was very family oriented. One of her greatest joys was to cook holiday dinners when the entire family could come together in celebration. An avid New Yorker sports’ fan, she cheered on the Giants and Yankees, her two favorite teams. Those who loved her knew her to be both feisty and stubborn especially when it came to realizing what she wanted to achieve in life for herself and others.
Virginia leaves to mourn two sons, their father, one sister, and two granddaughters. Other family members that mourn her departure include eight nieces, eight nephews and six very “special sisters”.
