Sandra Geniece Carter, the daughter of the late Charles Carter and Geneva Harrell was born on September 23,1954 in Huntington Hospital, Long Island New York. She was 69 years old when her Heavenly Father called her home on Monday, June 24, 2024 at Good Samaritan Hospital West Islip, New York. She attended Wyandanch Memorial High School and graduated in 1972.
Sandra worked at Allstate as an Insurance Agent and Long Island Developmental Center (LIDC), better known as Suffolk State. She was extremely talented in several areas such as modeling, gardening and cooking. She modeled for many different modeling agencies and walked in several fashion shows. Sandra was the talk of the town, with her rich dark skin tone, and slim, curvy figure, her presence glowed with natural beauty from inside out. She was the “Ultimate Black Beauty of Wyandanch.” Sandra was featured in the House of Gardens Magazine and Newsday for her green thumb. She had an article about her lovely apartment full of beautiful plants that she grew and cultivated. She enjoyed gardening well into her last days. Sandra was extremely clean and an excellent cook. She always had Sunday dinner waiting for her mother after Church. Saundra will be remembered as very kind, a caring and loving person who was always willing to give a helping hand. She will truly be missed.
She preceded in death with her Mother and Father. Sisters Sharon, Carlstine, Yvonne and her brother Ervin. She leaves to mourn Gilenethel (Curtis), Jeanette, Carlson, Charles Jr, Lolita, Candice, Andrea, Deidre, Goddaughter Aisha, Aunt Queen and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
