Richard "Gary" Ramsay was born on October 28, 1969 in Jamacia, West Indies to Ouida Logan Ramsay and Roy Ramsay. Gary was christened and later confimed at the Mandeville Parish Church in Jamaica. Gary's mother died when he was six years old. He lived with his grandmother who adored him. He spent weekends with his father who worked with the Kaiser Bauxite Company in St. Ann. He was very thankful for his step-mother Jean Ramsay for loving him and treating him like her biological child. Gary also spent alot of time with his Aunt Gloria Mendez who showed him love as a child.
Gary attended Belair Prepartory School. Where he passed his common entrance to Munro College. At Munro College Gary represented his school competitively at the Boys and Girls Athletic Championships and enjoyed playing football.
Gary migrated to the states and attended Morehouse College in Atlanta. He later moved to New York where he met and married Camille Curtis, they produce three children Alexus, Morgan, and Richard. They established a popular restaurant "Jamaican Flavors" in Queens, New York.
In October 29, 2007 Gary remarried RoseAnn Auld and they have one child named Roy. Gary had a calm spirit good self concept and therefore he made friends easily. He was always smiling and a joy to be around. He loved music and playing domino. He also loved spending time with his cousins Nicole Williams, Patrick Edwards, and Andrew Soares. Gary departed us on Tuesday May 2, 2017, after a very brief illness.
Gary will always be remembered and in our hearts by family and friends.
