Miss Osabuohien Helen Omo-Osagie was born on the 10th of October, 1956 to the noble family of Chief Humphrey Omo-Osagie and Madam Onaiwu Omo-Osagie.
She started her primary school education at Ireti Primary School, Lagos and finished in Government School, Benin City. She attended St. Maria Goretti Girls School, Benin City from 1967-1972 where she obtained her West African School Certificate (WASC). She was in the pioneer set for the Higher School Certificate (HSC) at Idia College, Benin City from 1973-1974. She gained admission to read Law as the University of Lagos and graduated in June, 1977. Osabuohien proceeded to the Nigerian Law School in October 1977 and was called to the Bar in 1978. Her year of National Youth Service was spent at the Legal Aid Council.
Miss Omo-Osagie is a member of the National Bar Association, the international Bar Association and several faith based and community associations.
She was the proud and loving mother to three children: Nosakhare, Ivie and Eghosasere, whom, she says, are ever present, living proof of God’s love and blessings.
In the 35 years of her Civil Service career, by dint of hard work, she rose through the ranks, from Pupil State Counsel to the rank of a Director, the rank of achievable by a Civil Servant
She died on June 9th, 2020 at the age of 63. She will be missed by all.
