Mother Mozell Pannell was born on April 23, 1932 in Union County, South Carolina to the late James Jeter and Susie Gist- Jeter. She attended and graduated from Spartanburg school district.
Mozell migrated to New York in 1951. She married the love of her life, Charles Curtis Pannell in 1966. From their union came three children: Susie, Charles Michael, and Austina. Mother Pannell built her life and home in Amityville. She helped and cared for children from broken and less fortunate homes. Though this work, she adopted her son, Rodney Whitehead.
Mozell began attending Shiloh H.C.O.G. under the leadership of the late Ruling Elder Ernest Murphy, where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. The late Mother Roberta Fulton was her spiritual mother, who guided Mozell throughout her spiritual life. Mozell would often fellowship with Faith Temple C.I.G.I.C. under the leadership of Superintendent Peter Jamison and Miracle House of Prayer under the leadership of the late Pastor Theola Williams. The late Overseer Robert Bullard was the Assistant Pastor of Miracle House of Prayer until the Lord led him to Pastor True Vine H.C.O.G. God led Mozell to follow Overseer Robert Bullard to help with the establishment of True Vine H.C.O.G. Mother Pannell remained a member of True Vine H.C.O.G after the passing of Overseer Bullard, and after the leadership pf Pastor Emeritus Katie Bullard, and during the current leadership of Overseer Noah Bullard who renamed the church Greater true Vine Holiness Church.
Mother Pannell’s hobbies included yard-sales, traveling, and eating, which she and her best friends, the late Ann Marsh and the late Bertha Desaussure, enjoyed doing together. She also loved missionary work, serving people, and she had a way of impacting people’s lives.
She will truly be missed
