Mamie Warner Obituary

On August 12, 2017 at 8:35AM left this earthly world to return unto her heavenly father to be reunited with her loved ones who had departed before her.

On June 7, 1927 Mamie Louise Brinkley Grant was born to Denton and Nellie Grant in Eustis Florida. She had 1 older brother Ulysses James Brinkley who proceeded her to heaven.

At the early age of 14 Mamie gave her life to Christ and dedicated her life to serving the Lord Jesus Christ. She had a diligent and meticulous yearning to learning the word of God. Which allowed her to come to know God's word from Genesis to Revelations.

Mamie's schooling started in Eustis Elementary and Middle School upon graduation from Middle School. Mamie and her mother Nellie moved to Woodberry New Jersey, residing with both the Green and Reynolds families.

Mamie attended Woodbury High School graduating as one of it's first Women of African American Heritage. After High School she moved to Brooklyn, New York where she studied secretarial courses in business school.

She was a faithful servant serving and worshipping in the Church of God in Eustis Florida, New Jersey, Brooklyn and Queens,  New York.

Mamie was blessed with many gifts of the spirit, which she shared with others. She was a chef, caretaker, bible school teacher, music teacher and educator. She loved playing the piano the first instruments she taught her sons. She had a passion for writing, poetry and reciting them in church. She was appointed to the office of Church Secretary.

The family would like to take this time opportunity to thank everyone for the many acts of kindness shown to us during this time of bereavement.
