Obituary
Keith Nathaniel Thomas was born in Hastings Florida on April 25, 1958. He attended school in the West Babylon School district and graduated from West Babylon Senior School in 1977. In High School, Keith was a Star football athlete. His superior athletic ability ultimately culminated in him earning football scholarship to attend college. Although the scholarship was one avenue, Keith decided to enter the working world. During his life Keith worked in many fields earning multiple certifications which included Production Management, Maintenance and General Labor. More recently, Keith was working as a Fulfillment Associate at Amazon Distribution Center in Bethpage, NY until his untimely passing. He loved his job at Amazon and spoke kindly about the people with whom he worked.
Keith committed his life to Christ many years ago, and he loved to attend church and Worship God. Keith overcame many challenges and obstacles in his life. Despite many challenges, Keith, also known as “Erf” or “Earth” among his friends, had no qualms letting anyone know God had delivered him from his past, set him free from the things that had him bound, and healed things that had been broken in his life. Keith used those experiences to impart wisdom to not only his family and friends, but anyone he met. He loved people. It would not be uncommon to see him talking to friends at the corner store or him painting, providing lawncare, yard work, and other jobs in the neighborhood. Keith loved to help and serve others; neighbors, family members, or friends.
Keith was a gentle giant full of life with a heart of gold. He loved spending time with his family, especially during the holidays. Holiday time was a time of togetherness and to watch sports. Keith was a great brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. We will all miss his smile, his stories, his witty comments and words of wisdom.
