Joye Ashley Campbell
Obituary
On Wednesday, May 3, 2017 Joye Ashley Campbell, 24, peacefully transitioned from the here and now into eternity to be with our Heavenly Father at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bethpage N.Y.
Born on September 19, 1992 at Mid-Island Hospital, she was the daughter of Franklin R. Campbell Jr. and Saundra Clarke; Joye did not have any siblings. She grew up in Amityville and attended the Montessori Children’s School of North Massapequa until the age of 9. In 2001 she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina with her Aunt Kim and her maternal grandmother Hazel Clarke. There she finished elementary school at Mallard Creek Elementary, then entered Ranson Middle School. Her mom missed her so much and wanted her to come back to New York. Joye returned to New York in September 2004 and finished middle school at Edmund Miles Middle School in June 2006. After graduation it was time to go to high school; that fall she began the next chapter of her life at Amityville High School from which she graduated in 2009 at the age of 16. Joye then completed one semester of college at Suffolk Community College’s Brentwood campus. Her desire initially was to major in Liberal Arts.
Joye was undecided about which major she would choose so instead of continuing in college she decided to get a job in the meantime. She worked at various establishments including Nathan’s in Sunrise Mall, Lids, Lady Footlocker and Stop N Shop.
On July 13, 2013 God blessed Joye with a precious baby boy, who she named Keith Lemont Frost Jr. She loved him with all her heart and he loves her even more.
In April 2016 she began a job at Just Kid’s Learning Center in Lindenhurst, NY. This was one job she really loved; although the children were a challenge to manage, she would always say how much she loved her work babies.
Joye was a fun loving person who loved to shop, buy hair products and most importantly, drive.
In addition to her parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and a host of relatives and friends, Joye leaves to cherish her memories the love of her life, her son.
