Obituary
Jewel Finney was born October 9, 1934 in Jefferson County GA to the late Fred Ford Yancy and Annie Laura Neeley. She had 1 sister and 7 brothers.
Jewel arrived in NY in 1963. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing sports with her children and their peers. She was a giving person, especially of her time, which she often spent babysitting children of all ages. She enjoyed cooking “down home” southern-style meals, and she loved to travel to her favorite place- Atlantic City!
Jewel worked as a machine operator for the Henelope Corporation, and retired in 1986. As all of her children were grown, she choose to simplify her life and moved into a senior citizen community where she resided until her home-going
On her deathbed, Jewel joyously made her confession of Faith that Jesus Christ is her Lord & Savior. By the Word of the Living God, we know that Sis. Jewel is safely resting in His arms- pain free and full of Peace.
Jewel was thr loving mother of seven children, twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great- great- grandchildren.
