Jennie Mae Ellis was born May 21, 1926, to William Albert Thompson and Joan Thompson in Manhattan, New York. She died on June 22, 2018 in Cedar Hill, TX.

Jennie married Elmer Jackson Ellis on February 5, 1949 in New York at St. James Presbyterian Church. Her professional career included work for Blue Cross Blue Shield, NY Telephone, and AMF Bowling. Jennie was always a giving person and contributed to numerous charities. She will  be remembered as a loving person who had a kind word for everyone she met.

Jennie was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Jackson Ellis, son Steven Albert Ellis, and grandson Edgar Jackson Ellis.

She is survived by one son, one daughter, One brother, four special foster daughters, four grandchildren and her five great grandchildren.
