Darryl D. Davis Obituary

For God so loved the world that He gave unto the union of Gerald and MaryAnn Davis a baby son. Darryl DeLeon Davis was born on September 12, 1962 in the Bronx, New York. Darryl joined his older siblings Gerald Junior (June Bug) and Gernise (Poochie). The family moved to St. Albans before finally settling in Deer Park, New York.

Darryl gave his life to Christ at the age of 8 and was baptized at First Baptist Church of Deer Park, New York where he served as a faithful member. Upon the completion of his elementary and graduation from Deer Park High School, Darryl continued his education in the Suffolk Community College System and went on to graduate from Anaheim Technical School. The demand for Darryl’s skills generated opportunities from several technical companies including Hewlett Packet Velox Systems, with American Traffic Solutions being his last employer in Miami, Florida where he and his family lived for over three decades.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Darryl proved to be an excellent barber, talented DJ, and known for his creative culinary skills. He was also an armchair political analyst and sports critic. On October 21, 1989, Darryl confessed his love and devotion to  Aleshia Frisby in holy matrimony at First Baptist Church of Deer Park. God blessed Darryl and Aleshia with three sons: DeAndre, DeVante, and Devin, who were his pride and joy. As a devoted father, Darryl coached, tutored, mentored, and most importantly deeply loved his boys with extreme sacrifice. For God saw fit to send Darryl D. Davis so that whoever crossed paths with him should have much joy, laughter, and fun in their life. Darryl was the ignitor of excitement and enjoyment to family, friends, and even strangers. He had an overwhelming love for people and was always known to lift spirits and spread joy.

Darryl is preceded in entry to glory by his loving mother and his brother. To cherish and extend his memory Darryl leaves his loving wife Aleshia; his three exceptional sons, his father Gerald, a mother-in-law, a sister, a sister-in-law, four nieces, a host of cousins, a great niece, a great nephew, friends, extended loving family, and social media fan club.

God so loved us all that he gifted us the life of Darryl so that our joy should not perish because as long as he remains in our memory, he is never truly gone. May we cherish the everlasting joy he gave is for we loved him dearly but God loved him best.
