Remembering Corey Hall
Corey Oljiuwon Hall was born on July 27, 1984 in Montgomery, Alabama to Evelyn Hall and Scott Harris. He entered eternal rest on January 24th , 2022 at the age of 37. He attended Farmingdale Senior Highschool and graduated in the Class of 2002.
During a young age, Corey developed a passion for basketball. Corey played on numerous basketball teams; Deer Park, Bayshore, and Farmingdale High School. While at Bayshore, Corey played for multiple AAU basketball teams. He was awarded MVP in Long Island’s Lupus Classic Basketball Tournament; 13 three pointers in one game. During his high school senior year, Corey lived with his Aunt’s; Dora Champion, Tina Thomas in Farmingdale, NY. He played on Farmingdale’s basketball team as a point guard. Corey’s talent led Farmingdale’s basketball team to the Nassau County’s Championship Game. In addition, several prominent Division One Colleges, were interested in Corey’s basketball talent; Providence and Syracuse.
Corey then became a devoted father. He met Lillian Herrara during his sophomore year at Bayshore Senior high school. Years later, they had one son; Kayden Hall, in addition to their blended family. Corey enjoyed spending all his time with Kayden. Corey taught his son, how to play basketball and always provided Kayden with unconditional love.
Corey Hall is proceeded by his (mother) Evelyn Hall, (father) Scott Harris, (grandmothers), Katie Mae Hall and Willie Mae Burnett, (grandfathers) Joe Hall and Percy Burnett. Corey is survived by his son; Kayden Hall, his sisters; Autonia Little, Denise Little, and Angela Hall, (sister/cousin) Zhanna Hall, (great grand-mother) Mary Harris-Murrell and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
