Clayren “Big C” Foust Saunds……

Mrs. Clayren Slade Foust Saunds, born February 22, 1928 to Mr. Willie Slade and Mrs. Mary Gunn Slade, both deceased, departed this life November 30, 2017 at her residence in North Babylon, NY. She was a native of Casewell County, North Carolina.

She loved boating, fishing and planning trips to the casino. She also loved planting her garden and working in her flowers and yard. Clayren was a true hustler. Not only did she love going to the casinos, cooking was one of her favorite things to do and she was very good at it. Many times she prepared food for the sick people. She would also sell dinners on many occasions, do domestic work and worked at Hallers Plastic, inc. For many years as well as other various side jobs. Clayren was a stern, she said what she meant and meant what she said, but loved you all the same.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 47 years, one son, two daughters, eight grandchildren, nine great grand children and three great great grand children.

She was proceeded in death by her first husband, one son, one sister and eight brothers.

She is survived by her brother, two sisters, and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.

She will be greatly missed.
