Beatrice Perry Obituary

Obituary

Beatrice Emery- Perry affectionately called “Aunt Bea Bea” was born on October 19, 1930 in Manhattan, New York to Lorraine Marie Lee-Emery and Richard Emery. Tragically her parents departed from her life at age 3 and was adopted along with her three siblings by her Aunt Marianne Lee- Houston and husband, Frank Houston from Brooklyn, New York.

She graduated High School and attended Manhattan Needle & Trade School later known as Fashion Institute of Technology: she was employed at Bergdorf Goodman as millinery. She met and married John Perry on April 25, 1953 and out of that union came three children. In 1969, Beatrice along with her husband John and children moved to Southampton, NY and resided on the Shinnecock Indian Nation. As a child Beatrice attended Shinnecock Presbyterian Church on Shinnecock Reservation. As a family they all attended Community Baptist Church in Southampton. She would then attend Padgett Temple COGIC where she received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Then upon being led to New Life Ministries in Riverhead, New York, she orchestrated feeding the hungry. There was no greater joy in her life then the Lord, Jesus Christ and her family. Beatrice personality was modest and conservative, but her words were always seasoned with grace. She could give you correction; instruction and encouragement with such love that made you want to embrace the plan of God for your life. The Lord God gave her the ability to sense when people needed help. She touched many lives with her generosity and will forever be missed.

Beatrice Emery- Perry passed into her eternal love of God on November 4th, 2019. She preceded in death her husband John, one son, two daughters, two son in laws, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many hosts of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
