Eulogy
Mrs. Ave Tucker was the wife of Mr. Henry Tucker (Deceased). She is survived by her children (three sons and two daughters), William Tucker, Madeline Ricketts, Susanna Tucker, Raymond Tucker, and Frank Tucker.
She was blessed to have enjoyed six (6) generations of her family; Her mother, Susanna Morter and father William Miller (both Deceased), siblings; Elizabeth Miller (Deceased), Jorge Miller (Deceased), Isabel Miller (Deceased), Edward Miller (Alive). She’s a mother of five (5) children, grandmother of eleven (11), great grandmother and seven (7) great-great grandmother of (4). Also, five (5) nieces and five (5) nephews from her siblings.
Ave Jane, as her daughter fondly called her at times, first migrated to the United States of America in 1994. Lived in Brooklyn, New York and loved shopping on Flatbush Ave. and at Bobby’s on Church Ave. It gave her much pleasure just browsing the stores. A couple times she had us worried, because she was out after dark. When she came home, we asked, why were you out so late? She replied, there is so much to look at, I forget about the time. After she got settled, she went on talking, telling us of all the things she saw, her eyes light up bright as she describes the things with delight, laughing and smiling as she proceeded to showing off her purchases.
Ave was a very quiet and soft-spoken women; however, she can be feisty if you get her dander up, she will roar with no hesitation telling you in a minute, you are full of shit. So do not ever take her soft-spoken ways for weakness for she was a true lioness.
She was loved by all she encountered, she will be sorely missed.
But not forgotten.
