Steven "Sha" Gardner Obituary

Obituary

Steven “Sha” Gardner was born on November 18, 1969, at Syosset Hospital to Lois Gardner and Richard Carruthers. Steven was also a step-son to Stephanie Carruthers and four siblings; Richard Jr., Omar, Tivoni and Staci.

In his childhood, Steven was an adventurous, helpful, smart and brave son. Steven was a graduate of Wyandanch Memorial High School. Sha enjoyed his family and friends daily especially his many cousins. In addition to his many accomplishments, Steven was a great father to his two daughters Sharmila and Mahoganie. He loved his children with all heart and soul and did whatever he could to make them happy.

Steven was employed by New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities until he was called to his eternal rest on August 12, 2019.

Sha was known for the thunderous sound system he had in every vehicle that he owned. You could anticipate his presence blocks and miles away.  Also a lover of pets of all kinds; pit bulls, Rottweiler, boa constrictors all shapes, colors & sizes.

Candidly, he was a great man to know. From the gold in his mouth to the gold in his heart, Sha was truly a gleaming sight to see and equally tobe amongst. As he worked hard… he played HARD!!!

We will forever cherish every memory with each family member, lover friends filling room with love and laughter
