BORN August 10, 1952 in Brooklyn, NY, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 66 years of age in Long Island, NY. She is predeceased by her husband Monroe McTaw Jr., father, Governor H. Worthy Jr., maternal grandparents, Genevieve and George Wormley, paternal grandparents, Marie and Governor H. Worthy Sr. She leaves to mourn, daughter, Morena (Jeffrey) Davis, beloved grandsons, Darrius McTaw and David Lockworth the 3rd, mother, Oradell Worthy. Also, siblings, Denise A. Worthy, Wanda P. Williams, Sheryl Garrett, Allison V. Worthy, Joseph G. Worthy and William W. Worthy Sr. Aunts, Veronica Lawrence, Miriam Carter, Marion Worthy, uncles, Ollie Worthy Sr, James Fredricks, nieces and nephews, Troy Williams Sr., Cecil Nixon, Evan Worthy, Itez, Veronica and Monet Worthy, Maurice Garard, LaTrell and Quincy Garrett, Tamara A. Mitchell, William W. Worthy Jr., Kahilea S. Davis, sisters-in-laws, Althea/Linny (David) Lucas of Rochester NY and Darlene (Verdell) Lane of Lawrenceville, Ga. Also mourned by Morena’s-in-laws, Mrs. Rose Marie Davis, Alicia, Jasmine, Destiny and Nyasia Davis, and a host of cousins and other family members.Marilyn loved, loved, loved her daughter and grandsons. They had her heart and she always wanted them to have the best life possible. She truly loved her entire family. She attended SUNY Brockport where she met her husband Monroe (Pops) McTaw. They moved back and forth from Wyandanch, NY and Rochester, NY, where their daughter Morena was born. Marilyn was a hard worker, working many years as a Broker for Merrill Lynch while also working at a neighborhood convenience store. She was an avid walker and said it kept her sane. It can be said that she truly enjoyed life.
